Our company: “Tabac Turc”, Water Pipe and Pipe Tobacco Industry and Trade Inc. took over Muhabbet TombekiWater Pipe Tobacco, Turkish Pipe Tobacco, Yayladağ Pipe Tobacco and Tatlisert Rolling Tobacco product brands owned by TEKEL (Monopoly) and all the assets related to its production after the privatization program of October 8th 2008, and henceforth began its activities.
The brand products, Muhabbet Tömbeki Water Pipe Tobacco, Turkish Pipe Tobacco, Yayladağ Pipe Tobacco which were being produced by TEKEL, are continued to be produced in our factory in Menemen, Izmir, according to the original recipes and techniques.
Our Production Facility
Tabac Turc’s production activities are continuing to be performed at our facilities located in Menemen, Izmir.
Our production techniques have not been changed, and we continue to maintain our inherited legacy and its true quality. The production machines, the oldest design dating back to 1925, have been supplied to us by the former TEKEL factories located all over Turkey.
Our production manager, a tobacco expert ,and together with our foremen, joined our team from TEKEL, and have been working with the Tabac Turc family for more than 4 years.
What does Tabac Turc means?
"Tabac Turc" in the French language translates into English as "Turkish Tobacco"
Our Company took over the duty of keeping TEKEL brands alive, with the newest brand being 58 years old. We are strongly commited to become a prominent brand which will not only place us on the international market, but will also reflect the importance and true value given to the past history of our company.
Our brand name has its origins from the company Tabacs Turcs S.A. which was founded in Switzerland in 1949 in partnership with TEKEL.
