Turkish Pipe Tobacco
The production of Turkish Pipe Tobacco began in 1933 under the Monopoly Administration and is still being produced using the same recipes and techniques. The packaging and logos have not been changed, and consequently this historic heritage continues to thrive.
The production of genuine pipe tobacco is being performed by use of vintage wooden presses which are placed in special iron casts. Today there are only six companies in the world who posses these types of presses; one in United States, four in Europe, and Tabac Turc in Turkey. This method, which is being maintained by a small number of manufacturers, is done to avoid compromising the quality, which is the most important element of the pipe tobacco production.
The secret of the continued quality and texture is to be found in the cast iron presses, the aged wooden containers, experience, and centuries-old recipes.
Considering the common characteristics of companies engaged in the manufacturing of pipes, and especially those located in the Nordic countries who have been producing for three or four generations, and have thus acquired a great experience. The pipe culture is also a tradition, passed down from one generation to another. Similarly, with the inherited secret formulas, our company continues to produce the same quality of tobacco using the same raw materials.
As a result, Turkish Pipe Tobacco has been recognized as one of the top three pipe tobacco brands in the world.
Yayladag Pipe Tobacco
The production of Yayladağ Pipe Tobacco, began in 1955 by the Turkish Monopoly Administration, and is still produced with the same recipes and techniques.
The Turkish Pipe Tobacco, Yayladag has been produced for over half a century and is still being kept alive in accordance with our heritage.
Flavored Yayladag Pipe Tobaccos
During the final years of the Monopoly period, issues such as speeding up cigarette production, giving additional attention to tobacco and tobacco farming, pushed the production of flavored pipe tobacco out of the lime light ,and as a result, the market lost a large share to other manufacturers.
Turc Tabac, in 2013 made it a point to take this much needed and long awaited step of diversifying the Classic Yayladağ Pipe Tobacco and began producing other top quality flavours.
Yayladağ Flavoured Series come in Vanilla, Cherry and Chocolate varieties.
